More Light

Life can be painful if you do it right. To wish to forget the hope because it wasn’t realised, to try to cleanse your mind of the beautiful dream because it didn’t come true, is to miss out on life altogether, because life is designed to be lived in an alternation of hours of sunlight and darkness.”

— Harold Kushner

I love this work by German artist, Anna Schuleit who filled four floors of an abandoned psychiatric hospital with 28,000 potted plants. The installation, entitled Bloom, is such a hunting, human work that contrasts all that’s dark and troubled with hope.
