Sky Above, Earth Below, Peace Within

66 days, 12 hours, 21 minutes, 56 seconds and counting till I pack my pile of unread books in my Rimowa and roll-away to Bali.

In 63 days, the current chapter of my life will come to an end. And on the 66th day, I will rest.

Seven years of helping build a house in my small way, and I can leave with the knowledge that I did the best I could, with what I had.

There’s a line in the Bible: If the home is deserving, let your peace rest on it; if it is not, let your peace return to you. 

What will I do on the 63rd day? Let my peace rest or take it back? I’m not entirely sure. And the act of even acknowledging that is human and liberating because it’s honest.

I am tired. I imagined this going a different way.
